About Chelsea

Chelsea Guzman is an artist and collector based in Greenville, South Carolina. Her abstract landscape paintings are inspired by the movement of the natural world—capturing the feeling of wind through open spaces, shifting light, and the quiet energy within a landscape.

She has been drawing and painting for as long as she can remember, first learning from her mother, who nurtured her early creative instincts. That lifelong connection to art continues to shape her intuitive, process-driven approach today.

Working in layered surfaces, Chelsea builds and reworks each painting to create depth, texture, and a sense of history. Her marks and gestures echo the rhythm of nature, inviting viewers into a space that feels both familiar and deeply personal.

Now a mother herself, Chelsea finds renewed inspiration and energy in her daughter, whose experience of the world offers a fresh way of seeing. That sense of joy, curiosity, and wonder has deepened Chelsea's own awareness, guiding her work as an exploration of movement, memory, and feeling.

Through Field & Found Studios, Chelsea brings together her contemporary paintings with a considered selection of vintage and found objects for the home. She is drawn to the contrast between something newly made and pieces that already carry a history. Together, the art and objects reflect her belief that a home is most interesting when it is collected over time.
